June 25th, 2010 - Today was a solo adventure since the girls are still in Colorado. I decided to do three lakes are Sutton area. First on the agenda is Coyote Lake. The last .5 miles to this lake you will need to use 4-wheel drive and the toyota FJ Cruiser handled the terrain great. Once I got to the lake I was able to park at one end of the lake. Water temperaure was 64 F about the same temperature as the air. It took 90 strokes to cross the lake in one direction or about 225 yards. Total time to swim across and back was 5 minutes and 30 seconds. This lake has a gravel bottom where you can enter and exit the lake. Weeds are growing at both ends of the lake. I did notice that at each ends of the lake there was a slight smell. Overall a good lake. Off to Slipper (Eska) Lake.
