Bruce Lake 29th

June 29th -- Bruce Lake parking area is located 200 yards past Beverly and Kalmbach lake parking area. Once you park you will need to wlak on the 4 wd trail for 7 minutes before you reach the lake shore. Once you reach the shore turn right and walk 50 yards until you see the rocks. This is the best area to enter the lake to avoid the mud. This lake like Golden is small. It took me 162 strokes to cross the lake. Total time around 11 minutes. On the way back the wind had picked up making small waves which forced me to pay attention to my breathing technique or I would end up with a mouth full of water. This lake has a few weeds in the shallow areas. The biggest problems was the slime on the rocks makes for slippery walking with zoomers on (small flippers). Off to the truck and on to Kalmbach lake.
